The Sad Truth

There's nothing more beautiful
then putting into words how you feel about someone.
Comparing them to your favorite flower, book, song
and allowing yourself to let go
Imagining a world where you could have something you love so dear, so close, forever
but it doesn't last forever
your flower will eventually die
and your new book may get lost
your song gets remade to a different beat
and just like that, things change.
Unfortunately this is how love works.
